We are seeking an engaging and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join our high school faculty and inspire our students through rigorous and engaging science instruction.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to teach Honors Chemistry courses at the high school level during the 2025 - 2026 School Year. This position requires expertise in Chemistry, a strong commitment to Christian values, and a passion for mentoring young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
· Establish and adhere to an Orthodox Christian learning environment/curriculum.
· Integrate an Orthodox Christian worldview into teaching practices and classroom discussions.
· Deliver high-quality instruction in Honors Chemistry
· Demonstrate a high degree of self-efficacy (agency).
· Design and implement engaging and effective lesson plans, labs, and assessments and potential after school activities, i.e. Science club or Olympiad preparation or another STEM focused extracurricular
· Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science.
· Hold oneself accountable for learner outcomes and advocate for students; work efficiently; and believe in their ability, the capability of students, and oneself to succeed and excel.
· Provide mentorship and academic support to students to help them succeed.
· Collaborate with other faculty members to align curriculum and enhance the overall academic program.
· Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning, teaching practice, and personal/collective professional development.
· Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and administration.
· Hold oneself accountable for learner outcomes, advocate for students, work efficiently, and believe in their ability, the capability of their students, and themselves to succeed and excel.
· Facilitates problem-solving, with a curious mind and critical thinking skills, showing a high degree of creative application in the implementation of data-driven curriculum and practice.
· Collaborates effectively with a variety of groups within the organization.
· Designs and facilitates differentiated and personalized learning goals.
Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
· Prior teaching experience at college level is preferred.
· Industry experience in chemistry or chemical engineering is highly desirable.
· A personal commitment to Christian faith and values, with the ability to integrate these into teaching.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
